LOVE STORY
Mia and I decided to take a trip to this little coastal town, tucked between a peaceful lake and the sea. It wasn’t some place you’d find on the tourist map, which is exactly what made it perfect. It was calm, serene, and just far enough from everything else. But I had something else planned for this trip, this wasn’t just a getaway.
We spent the days exploring, strolling along the lake, watching the sunset over the water. On the third night, as the sun started to dip, I suggested we head down to the lake, just the two of us. The air was warm, the sky was changing colors every second, and it felt like something straight out of a movie. Mia was going on about how surreal it all was, and honestly, I couldn’t disagree, it really did feel that way.
That’s when I knew it was time.
I turned to her, and yeah, my heart was racing.
“Mia,” I said, trying to keep it cool but probably failing, “this place… it’s perfect. The calm of the lake, it’s how you make me feel. Balanced, alive, at peace.”
She smiled, looking at me like she had no clue what was coming next. Then, I dropped to one knee.
“Mia,” I said, pulling the ring out of my pocket, “will you marry me?”
Her eyes went wide, and for a second, she just stared at me, completely shocked. I was holding my breath, waiting for what felt like forever. Finally, she said, “Yes. Yes!”
And in that moment, everything inside me just exploded. I couldn’t say a word, just wrapped my arms around her and held her tight.
